Dawn Duncan LLM(Hons)(Auck), PhD(Well) is currently a lecturer in labour law at the University of Otago. She has practiced employment law in New Zealand and Australia, and has acted for individuals, unions, and large employers in a number of sectors. Dawn is a committee member of the New Zealand Labour Law Society, and contributes to a number of texts and resources on New Zealand employment law.

Gordon Anderson LLM(Cant) is currently a professor of law at Victoria University of Wellington. His primary teaching and research focus is employment law on which he has written extensively. Gordon is a member of the Advisory Committee of the Labour Law Research network, and President of the New Zealand Labour Law Society. He recently chaired the Ministerial Tripartite Taskforce, which recommended major reforms to the Holidays Act 2003.
